Items of Mortality

'Items of mortality' is a poem and a script for performance. A host of characters translated from childish fever dreams rave about cherubs, dolls and goddesses, death, animate and inanimate desires . It is a meditation on the fervent mythological thinking and rituals of childhood the relationship with materials and cosmic energies. The text is inspired by the painting series 'Muñeca' by Lucy Stein and it builds on research intersecting neolithic goddess cultures, Hellenic mythology and orthodox religious texts.
