Abstract / Summary: | 'Leviathan' is a continuation of my research into the significance of Performer/Audience/Spatial relationships within Performance. The spatial design (Aesthetically inspired by Russian Constructivism) creates a setting in which the audience become an active part of the performance event. The shifting of the physical boundary allows the creation of multiple locations in the same volume of space and the position of Performers and audience within these influences how or as what these are perceived and in this capacity become a important device for the telling of the story. The use of directionality of sound as a tool to create a sense of immersion is another significant aspect in my work. |
