Magic Theatre Exhibition

An exhibition-by-invitation of the book publication, The Riddlers, (written, illustrated and designed by Braund) and animation stills from ‘The Empties Collector,’ an animation/contemporary dance performance at Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. The Riddlers explores the nature of self via the necessary juxtapositions of visual metaphor when used within hyper-diegetic narrative contexts (published by Atlantic Press)., The Empties Collector was a collaborative project with Laban students. Students were involved in creating a stop-frame animation and an original soundtrack (performed at Laban's Bonnie Bird Theatre in May, 2011). Grounded in intertextuality, ‘Magic Theatre Exhibition’ extends the possibilities of academic publication in terms of paper and performativity.
