Abstract / Summary

Perhaps because politics has claimed manifestos as a tool to sway voters minds, only to then be disregarded shortly afterwards, fifthsyllable would like to swing the pendulum back to artists and see how they fair. Offering the chance for complete sincerity or equal amounts of bending the truth, selected artists are invited to offer their own manifestos as artworks in their own right.
