Abstract / Summary:
209 Women was a national artist-led project founded by Hilary Wood in 2018 that aimed to champion the visibility of women, particularly in male-dominated environments. 209 new photographic portraits were made of all female MPs, shot exclusively by female photographers. The work was exhibited in the UK Parliament and Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool, and subsequently acquired by the UK Parliament Heritage permanent collection. My contribution was a portrait of Sarah Champion, MP for Rotherham.
