In this case it won the overall Silver Award. It was originally commissioned by a German publisher to convey the intensity, richness and variation of fauna prevalent in Amazon Rainforest lower canopy ecosystems. The second image represents a giant scarab beetle from North Africa Goliathus albosignatus, and this won the Commended Award. It was originally produced for an encyclopaedia of invertebrate life. |
