Abstract / Summary: | Antelope Hotel is an artist’s publication produced by David Stent and Neil Chapman during Writing As Occupation #3, a residency hosted by Force 8 and The Mothership, The Methodist Chapel, West Bay, Dorset, August/September 2016. The work began with the production in situ of a number of pieces of writing in relation to found images and the architecture of the space, using a variety of new and obsolete writing technologies. The 'Writing Artefacts' that resulted then became the source for a joint writing process developed over the course of a year. Antelope Hotel is printed in an edition of 100 (Footprinter Worker's Cooperative, Leeds). It comprises a 32 page A5 booklet including 4-page cover in black riso print; an A3 wrapper in a variety of four colours of papers (salmon, blue, yellow and cream), with images riso printed in two colours, one wrapper folded with each copy. |
