As part of BEST KEP SECRETS strand at the GEECT Teaching Documentary II conference I proposed BEST KEPT SECRET: Fantasy is a great way to explore reality. in this paper I explore the import and impact of traditional fairy tales and real storytelling on the emerging documentary filmmaker.
