Item Type: Media
Creators: Attlee, James and Whittaker, Emma
Abstract / Summary:

Set in London, The Cartographer’s Confession combines fiction and non-fiction, imagined and real locations in a tale of migration and loss, hope and retribution. The story is revealed through the research materials for the film of the same name, including cassette tapes, personal letters, original 1940’s photographs and illustrations, which lead to the dark secret at the story’s heart. Featuring 3D soundscapes and a bespoke musical score by group The Night Sky. This work forms part of the research undertaken as part of the AHRC funded Ambient Literature project. This work investigates the long-form situated literary work.
