Abstract / Summary
The project objectives were to develop product design (drysuit) and manufacturing techniques using state of the art digital measurement and pattern cutting technology. Over a two year period Fourth Element Limited and Falmouth University partnered to:
1: Understand product and customer
2: Review existing measurement technology
3. Develop and/or adapt a first iteration data transfer method appropriate to industry processes
4. Evaluate pattern blocks to maximise benefits of data measurement capture
5. Build and test first round prototype of automated measurement system
6. Second design development of automated measurement system
7. Test second stage measurement device prototype
8. Business strategy implementation plan
9. Dissemination of knowledge
