Abstract / Summary:

HUG is Verity Standen's composed and devised vocal a cappella performance. A core of professional singers work with a variety of people in workshops teaching them the piece and coaching them to be able to perform it. The performance is an immersive vocal soundscape where each member of the public is blindfolded and then hugged by a performer for the duration of the performance.
