Abstract / Summary

The alternative dissertation (altdiss) project was lead by Dr Chris Truran, and was part of the MA TV Production course for 2007/08 and 2008/09. The project was funded from both a University College Falmouth learning and teaching fellowship and a small grant from the Centre of Excellent of Media Practice, Bournemouth. The project utilised a bespoke social networking site, originally designed by Dr Chris Truran and Gavin Campball from Diverse Ambition, with development by Computer Minds, Bristol.

In April 2007 Tim Shear was invited to join the project and took over the hosting and admin of the production terms website. Kingsley Marshall also joined the altdiss team for 2008/09 during which time the website and teaching of a full year two semester unit was developed.
