Abstract / Summary

Deep is a film project which:
* Involves students, graduates, industry professionals, local people, academic and technical staff.
* Crosses subject disciplines within Falmouth University. Deep involves students and staff from: Animation, Performance, Music, Film, Writing, Contemporary crafts, Graphic design and Illustration so far and with more joining all the time.
* Aims to produce an experimental film with high production that can be entered into film festivals.
* Wherever possible seeks professional or staff input with the aim of keeping the standard of work at a professional level.
* Provides extra aspects of study for students and graduates that are not covered by their own courses.
* Employs the established practice of PAL (peer assisted learning), embedded within the Falmouth Animation and VFX course.
* Involves staff beyond their professional veneer engaging with students, seeking their ideas and practical skills.
