'Between Realities’ a group exhibiton of international artists funded by the Goethe Institute in Sweden, and curated for the Stockholm based Kunsthalle Färgfabriken. Produced as a multi art form exhibition exploring issues around technology and future society.

Together with Goethe Institute in Sweden, Stockholm based kunsthalle Färgfabriken (https://fargfabriken.se/en/right-now/item/1401-between-realities ) produced an exhibition around technology and the future society. Björn Norberg curated a condensed exhibition on this thematic working with artists from/based in Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Scotland and Sweden, an interdisciplinary exhibition including Anna Uddenberg, Jacob Kirkegaard, Wendy McMurdo, Julius von Bismarck and Katja Novitskova. The exhibition 'Between Realities' discusses certain aspects of the future society and technology. What does the digital technology mean to the democracy, security, development of media, the understanding of virtual and physical realities and life and health? My contribution comprised of two works, an installative projection and a text-based animation: ‘Wendy McMurdo (b. 1962) has in many of her projects focused upon questions that deal with computers, children and education. McMurdo has visited schools and studied how pupils use computers and especially how they play computer games. How will the fact that children today spend a significant portion of their time in virtual worlds, such as Minecraft, affect them? In the project Indeterminate Objects (Classrooms), the artist investigates the presence of digital visualizations in the daily life of children. McMurdo has photographed classrooms with classic, Victorian interiors and then added digital animations to them. In Indeterminate Objects (Chatroom), she has extracted conversations from chatrooms in the computer game Minecraft. The chat adds another layer to the actions in the game and links the players, the fiction and the virtual together.’ Retrieved: 10th Oct 2018 Dates of exhibition 31st August - 2nd Dec 2018 with plans to tour internationally thereafter. Impact:

The Goethe Institute in Sweden and Stockholm based Kunsthalle Färgfabriken developed the exhibit 'Between Realities' as a collaborative project bringing together a selection of artists of international repute. The exhibition ran for 3 months in Stockholm and allowed the venue - an 'independent foundation a financed by funds from the National Arts Council, the Culture Administration of Stockholm and the Stockholm County Council' - to publicise widely and include in a number of educational and research projects.
