Abstract / Summary
An Anglo/French project in which undergraduates, facillitated by lecturing staff, worked alongside VFX professionals and feature film directors.
Using a pedagogical model that was successful in the film project 'Deep', this case study looks at one particular workshop from 'The Cross Channel Film Lab' in which a team of undergraduate students were brought in as concept artists and production assistants on the project and worked alongside the lecturing staff and professional VFX consultants. In doing so they were able to become part of the fascinating process of helping to develop feature films that innovate in their use of Stereo 3D and/or VFX.
